<aside> 🍒 **Cherry on Tech’s first cohort connected 24 new devs, designers, and product managers of marginalized genders to work together for 13 weeks in four cross-functional tech squads. With the support of mentors, guest speakers, and weekly tasks, each squad developed an idea from problem space to launch of a live website.**

Cherry on Tech is a volunteer-run organization whose mission is to support people of marginalized genders who are new to tech. We are dedicated to developing a community that empowers people by promoting the power of being a part of a tech squad.

Even if our product didn’t quite reach what we what we had envisioned (yet), doing this as a team from scratch was an amazing learning opportunity. Trying to figure out what our product was, how to communicate between teams, how to manage expectations, how to manage life (somethings are out of your control) were the biggest takeaway for me, as well as the biggest challenges. (Dealing with the tech side of things was easier) Though I need a break, I do hope to keep on working on our product as a team.”
